Law enforcement departments have also taken action to investigate and punish takeaway stores suspected of illegal operation.
Yesterday, a former Meituan takeaway salesperson also reported to the Chongqing Morning Post, revealing more unknown secrets to the public.
Meituan former salesperson: nearly half of them operate without a license
Yesterday morning, Mr. Zhang, who claimed to be a former salesperson of Meituan takeout, contacted reporters and said he had some information to share after reading the Chongqing Morning Post’s report on "black takeout".
"As far as I know, Meituan Takeaway has registered more than 300 takeaways in the Guanyinqiao business district." Mr. Zhang said that he used to work as a business staff in Meituan Takeaway, and his job was to develop merchants to become customers of Meituan Takeaway. He only quit his job a few months ago. The reason why he chose to say all this is to let more people see the inside story of the takeaway website, "so that it is worthy of his conscience."
Mr. Zhang introduced that the salesperson found the merchant, and as long as the other party was willing to open a store online, they could help with it. "Whether you have a license or not, you can."
Mr. Zhang revealed that when he was a salesperson, he also helped unqualified merchants open stores online. In the past, half of his customers were unlicensed. At the same time, Mr. Zhang also provided a list and said that the stores on the list were all unlicensed.
According to the phone number provided by Mr. Zhang, the reporter tried to contact the management of Meituan takeaway Guanyinqiao area to verify the situation, but the other party’s call was never answered.
Return visit to expose merchants, some merchants are still in business
Subsequently, the reporter once again came to Nanping Wanda Mingdi Community. The two previously exposed businesses in the residential building, "Home Kitchen" and "Tian Ji Private Kitchen", had their doors closed. The aisles that were previously full of oil fumes and oil stains have now returned to normal.
The reporter searched two takeaway stores through Meituan takeaway and found that both stores were offline and resting. According to the community property management staff, after the news was exposed, the property management staff also increased the inspection of the building, and neither of the two stores opened again in the past two days.
In Guanyinqiao Hongding International, the situation is not so optimistic. The store that was previously issued a rectification notice by the law enforcement department is still open. In the 30-3 of Block A of Hongding International, the staff is still busy, and the open door shows no sign of rectification. The Meituan takeaway ordering platform also showed that the store still had goods for sale on September 22.

Law enforcement departments rectify: find one and investigate one
In response to the chaos of online takeaway platforms, how can law enforcement departments prevent it? According to the relevant provisions of the New Food Safety Law, online food trading third-party platform providers shall conduct real-name registration of online food operators to clarify their food safety management responsibilities; if they should obtain a license according to law, they shall also review their license.
Yesterday, Nanan District Food and Drug Administration Branch and Jiangbei District Food and Drug Administration Branch also inspected the shops with unlicensed business practices reported by this newspaper, and the staff also issued a supervision opinion on the spot for the shops with incomplete qualifications in Block A of Hongding International. "After coverage, we immediately organized staff to conduct on-site inspections of online food ordering points." Jiangbei District Food and Drug Administration staff introduced that because many of these shops are in residential buildings and their locations are hidden, it is difficult to investigate and deal with them.
During the inspection, the staff also found that many merchants still had problems such as the platform registration did not match the actual business address, the platform registration photos did not match the actual situation, and the use of food additives of unknown origin.
According to the Municipal Food and Drug Administration, relevant regulations and systems for online business are being formulated and improved. If a business is found to be suspected of operating without a license, it can call 12331 to complain. The law enforcement department implements "zero tolerance" for illegal business operations, and one is found to be investigated and punished.
