Shaanxi： ＂Good Water＂ Moisturizes People’s Good Life

More than 10 mainstream media reporters from the central and provincial levels went to the village to gain an in-depth understanding of drinking water safety in rural areas of Shaanxi Province.

　　Huyi District of Xi ‘an: Strengthening the management of rural water supply in an all-round way.

　　In 2014, Ganyu Waterworks in Huyi District was established, which is the largest village waterworks in Xi ‘an. The water plant delivered the safe and high-quality "Ganyu Good Water" to the homes of 42 natural villages and more than 40,000 villagers. Under the condition of full load operation, the daily water treatment capacity can reach 2500 cubic meters.

　　In order to ensure the safety of villagers’ drinking water, Ganyu Waterworks strengthened the protection of water sources. Electronic monitoring equipment, on-line water quality monitoring equipment and pressure flow monitoring equipment are installed in the main section of the water conveyance channel from the water source of Ganyu Water Supply Station to the water plant, four field storage tanks and around the water source wells of each water supply station, which realizes the 24-hour all-round monitoring and monitoring of water supply by the water plant.

　　Li Xingwei, director of the Rural Water Supply Management Center in Huyi District, introduced that at present, there are 252 water supply projects in Huyi District, and the tap water penetration rate has reached 100%. All the 350,000 rural people in the whole district have eaten tap water.

　　Baishui County: "Smart Water" Guarantees the "Last Mile" of Water Supply

　　Baishui County, located in the northeast of Weinan City, Shaanxi Province, is extremely poor in water resources. For many years, there have been "three difficulties" in water source protection, water quality improvement and operation management and protection.

　　In 2019, the first unattended water station in Baishui County — — Lijiayuan Water Supply Station has been completed, which has a set of fully automatic intelligent management system for water supply. Water workers can use computers or mobile phones to remotely control and find out problems such as abnormal water level and insufficient water pressure in the water station in time, so as to realize long-distance, large-scale, all-weather and visual monitoring of drinking water sources.

　　Baishui County has also upgraded the remote single-village water supply station and built a single-village unattended intelligent water supply station, which can collect the data of the water supply station in real time and monitor the operation status remotely. Fully automatic water making, dosing, disinfection and water quality online monitoring systems are introduced to realize remote control and command, and trusteeship management is implemented, thus achieving scientific, efficient and safe water making.

　　At present, the rural drinking water in Baishui County has achieved three changes from "simple to standard, decentralized to centralized, and difficult to safe". The tap water penetration rate is 99.95%, and the water quality compliance rate is 100%.

　　Xunyi county: establishing a "protective shield" for water quality safety with high standards

　　In March 2010, Xunyi County established a water quality testing center with a construction area of only 90 square meters. In 2021, the laboratory was relocated, with a construction area of 552 square meters, and passed 120 qualification certification work, with Class B and above water environment monitoring standards. From high-standard laboratory construction to national water quality testing capacity, the water quality monitoring center of Xunyi County Urban and Rural Water Supply Security Center has woven a three-dimensional "protective net" in water quality management to ensure that thousands of households can use "safe water" according to national health standards.

　　In recent years, 122 water supply projects have been built in Xunyi County, and the water supply guarantee rate and water quality compliance rate of the county have reached 100%. The rural drinking water quality testing has taken the lead in passing 120 CMA certifications in four categories in Xianyang City.

　　Water is the source of life, and the safety of drinking water is related to the health of the people. In the past ten years, Shaanxi has adapted to local conditions and done a good job in "water articles". The province has completed a total investment of 21 billion yuan in rural drinking water and built 36,000 water supply projects. By the end of 2021, there were 75,700 water supply projects in 103 agriculture-related counties (districts) in Shaanxi Province, with a centralized water supply rate of 95% and a tap water penetration rate of 93.4%. From "drinking water" to "drinking water well", from "traditional water supply" to "smart water supply", the level of water supply security in Shaanxi Province has been continuously improved.
