Press Conference on Statistics of Hunan People’s Livelihood Survey in the First Half of 2019
On July 17, the provincial government information office held a press conference, and the Hunan Survey Corps of the National Bureau of Statistics released the survey data of people’s livelihood in Hunan in the first half of 2019. In the first half of the year, the per capita disposable income of residents in the province was 12,949 yuan, up 9.7% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 0.9 percentage points higher than the national average, achieving steady and rapid growth, and showing a good trend of narrowing the income gap between urban and rural areas.
According to statistics, in the first half of the year, the per capita disposable income of urban residents in the province was 18,842 yuan, up 8.7% year-on-year; The per capita disposable income of rural residents in the province was 7142 yuan, up 9.2% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 0.5 percentage points higher than that of cities and towns. The income gap between urban and rural residents has narrowed, and the per capita disposable income ratio of urban and rural residents is 2.64, down 0.01 percentage points from the same period of last year.
Accurate poverty alleviation has achieved remarkable results, and the income of rural residents in poverty-stricken areas in the province has increased faster. In the first half of the year, the per capita disposable income of rural residents in 51 poverty-stricken counties in the province was 5,272 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.3%, which was 1.1 percentage points higher than the average level of rural residents in the province.
