"Insisting on the concept of system" is the epistemology and methodology of combating desertification in the new era, and it is also one of the standpoints and methods that run through the Supreme Leader’s Socialism with Chinese characteristics Thought in the new era.

On the morning of the 6th, General Secretary of the Supreme Leader came to the state-owned Xinhua Forest Farm in Linhe District, Bayannur, Inner Mongolia to learn about the construction of the "Three North" shelter forest system.
"Mountains and rivers, forests, fields, lakes, grass and sand", ecology is a unified natural system and an interdependent and closely related organic chain. In the mind of the Supreme Leader General Secretary, "the lifeblood of man lies in the field, the lifeblood of field lies in water, the lifeblood of water lies in mountains, the lifeblood of mountains lies in soil, and the lifeblood of soil lies in forests and grasses. This life community is the material basis for human survival and development".
The important exposition of "life community" embodies the scientific method of systematic thinking.
In November 2013, General Secretary of the Supreme Leader pointed out that the landscape, forest and lake are a community of life. Later, he added "grass" and "sand" to it.

Wuliangsuhai, located at the top of the "Zigzag Bend" of the Yellow River, is the intersection of multiple ecological functions in northern China and a natural ecological barrier to control the sandstorm source in Beijing and Tianjin. On the afternoon of the 5th, General Secretary of the Supreme Leader came here to inspect, and he emphasized that managing the Wuliangsuhai River Basin well is of great significance for ensuring the ecological security in northern China.
The general secretary attaches great importance to the management of Wuliangsuhai River Basin. During the two sessions of the National People’s Congress in 2021, when the General Secretary participated in the deliberation of the Inner Mongolia delegation, he pointed out that "I have given many instructions to Wuliangsuhai".
