On the afternoon of July 19, the world’s first intelligent variable new car based on the SDA platform – Changan Qiyuan E07 made a major appearance at the Changan Automobile Numerical Intelligence Factory, entering the final assembly, painting, welding, stamping, die casting, and battery workshops through live broadcast, unveiling the mystery of hardcore intelligent manufacturing.

The stamping workshop is the first step in automobile manufacturing. At present, the stamping production line of the stamping workshop of Changan Shuizhi Factory has been 100% automated. It is the first steel and aluminum mixed production line of Changan’s own brand, which can flexibly respond to the production needs of different materials – steel and aluminum plates. The stamping line tail adopts the "online AI quality inspection + offline quality inspection" comprehensive inspection scheme. The AI quality inspection algorithm is deployed through the cloud. The industrial camera trained by machine vision completes the all-round quality inspection of the product and information entry in 1 second. With the application of edge algorithm for real-time detection of hundreds of quality control points, the automation and accuracy of quality inspection are greatly improved.

The upgraded welding workshop has increased the degree of automation of the workshop to more than 95%. A total of 185 welding stations and 471 automated robots are widely distributed throughout the workshop to improve the accuracy of welding operations and improve the strength of the body through the introduction of a large number of new aluminum alloy riveting processes. At the same time, for the strength of the side circumference of the body, the stamping workshop adopts the most advanced one-piece thermoforming technology in the industry to increase the strength of the side circumference inner panel to 2-3 times that of the ordinary car side circumference inner panel.

The new generation of safety car body, high-strength steel and aluminum alloy use more than 90%, all the car body and even the front cover are made of all aluminum alloy material, which greatly enhances the lightweight of the vehicle and greatly enhances the durability and safety of the vehicle.
The Changan Shuizhi factory has a fully automated flexible and unmanned die-casting production workshop, which mainly includes five major processes: melting, die-casting, post-processing, machining, and assembly. The Changan Qiyuan E07 adopts the front and rear integrated die-casting process to achieve the integration of 163 parts into two parts, and the casting time is only 110 seconds. It pioneered the die-casting process of one mold and two pieces to ensure that the car does not damage the whole casting in conventional collisions, reduce the maintenance cost after the collision, and reduce the weight of the vehicle by 20%. The torsional stiffness is increased by 24%, the bending stiffness is increased by 23%, and the collision energy absorption efficiency is increased by 54%. The vehicle safety meets the stringent 2024 version C-NCAP five-star safety standard.

The painting workshop innovatively introduced the first water-based environmentally friendly 3C2B process coating line in Changan. Using the 3C2B "three spraying and two drying" technology, the pass rate of painting inspection has been significantly improved, and the adhesion, corrosion resistance, paint film hardness and durability of the car paint have been greatly improved. In addition, Changan Shuizhi factory also carefully selected water-based coatings, which can effectively reduce organic emissions and are more in line with the current environmentally friendly and low-carbon production trend.
At the same time, the painting workshop is also equipped with advanced gluing ISS robots and LASD robots, which further improve production efficiency and product quality. The ISS extrusion robot can effectively reduce the quality problems such as unsealed and waste glue that may occur during the manual extrusion process, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of gluing; the LASD robot uses liquid damping glue, which performs well in sound insulation and heat insulation, significantly improving the comfort of the car.
It is these advanced spraying processes that enable Changan Qiyuan E07 to come in seven body colors, meeting the individual needs of different users.

The battery workshop has the fastest fully automated battery packaging production line in China, the highest level of laser welding technology in the industry, and integrates four core process links such as assembly, gluing, welding, and testing. With 235 sets of cutting-edge equipment, it has achieved 100% automated production in the pre-assembly section and achieved full automation in the pre-assembly area. It is the largest black lamp factory in Asia, demonstrating the strength of Changan Digital Intelligence Factory to the extreme.
The "Golden Bell Jar" battery is made of military-grade basalt nano-thermal insulation material, which realizes 100% thermal suppression to ensure that the battery pack does not smoke, fire or explode; CTV integrated integration technology, the battery is integrated with the chassis, which not only improves the safety of the body and battery, but also provides more space for the interior layout; 800V high-voltage fast charging technology, charging about 15min can achieve 365Km battery life.

Changan Qiyuan E07 with a length of 5045mm, a width of 1996mm and a height of 1640mm has started its journey of injecting soul and flesh through the air corridor between painting and final assembly. Stepping into the modernization of the final assembly workshop and the digitally intelligent production line, you can see the spectacular scene of efficient collaboration. Following the direction of Changan Qiyuan E07, we can see from agile sensing, integrated control to super computing power to achieve the world’s only central ring network architecture with minimalist wiring harness arrangement, bringing higher vehicle control safety redundancy.
In the "interior line" area, Changan Qiyuan E07 will carry out exquisite and elegant to the end. The main and auxiliary first-class zero-gravity seats support functions such as electric adjustment, memory, ventilation, heating, massage, etc.; the space handle steering wheel uses special environmentally friendly materials, which feel warm and comfortable to the touch; the 15.4-inch sunflower screen restores real-world colors and matches the eye protection mode; the 16:9 passenger sun visor has a large entertainment screen (the largest), which is more suitable for users to watch movies in full screen. Equipped with up to 18 three-dimensional surround speakers, the interior space becomes a hall of audio-visual feast; the rear car 3D-PAD makes office entertainment.
Qiyuan E07 comes standard with 11 cameras, 5 millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 2 lidars precisely assembled in the final assembly workshop, which cooperate to form a smart driving capability. Moreover, Qiyuan E07 supports any type of small obstacle monitoring (30cm * 30cm * 30cm) larger than 100 meters, with a farther distance and more accurate perception. At the same time, it can generate road topology in real time, intelligent obstacle avoidance and obstacle circumvention, and 300P FLOPS learning and training computing power. It automatically processes 1600 kilometers of data for model training every day, and realizes a model iteration every 5 days. In terms of software, Changan Qiyuan E07 has a central ring network architecture, which brings higher vehicle control safety redundancy.

In the driving evaluation activity, the throttle of Changan Qiyuan E07 responded positively. It is equipped with a system with a peak power of 440kW and a peak torque of 645Nm. The acceleration of 100 kilometers can reach the level of 4 seconds. The air suspension can achieve a height adjustable of 90mm and a soft and hard stepless adjustment. The all-aluminum alloy chassis, double fork arm front suspension and R-EPS steering system bring a delicate steering feel and a stable cornering posture. The whole car uses double-layer sound insulation glass and a lot of silent materials to isolate most of the wind noise and road noise. The Changan Qiyuan E07 is first equipped with a high-end intelligent driving assistance system independently developed by Changan Automobile. When parking, it can automatically identify the parking space and choose the empty space to park. The subsequent functions such as valet parking and high-speed piloting are also worth looking forward to.
As a new achievement of Changan intelligent manufacturing, Changan Automobile Digital Intelligence Factory has provided advanced and valuable practical experience for the transformation of China’s automobile manufacturing industry, and is expected to become a new high ground for intelligent automobile manufacturing in the future.
